Turkey's Turkish Airlines Announces 150-Aircraft Deal with Boeing

Turkish Airlines has announced its intention to acquire 150 aircraft from Boeing. The agreement includes a firm commitment for 100 Boeing 737 MAX jets and an option for an additional 50 planes.

The deal was made while Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan was in New York, following his meeting with US President Donald Trump alongside Middle Eastern leaders during the UN General Assembly.

Trump described the development as a significant moment for Boeing and American manufacturing. He pointed to Bangladesh's intention to purchase more Boeing aircraft, stating that the arrangement would represent tens of billions of dollars in sales and sustain tens of thousands of US jobs.
