Two Men Arrested in Connection to Fatal Gas Station Shooting
Two men have been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting at a gas station in southeast Houston. According to the Houston Police Department, Travion Joyce, 31, and Dasmin Young, 36, were taken into custody early Wednesday morning by HPD's Special Weapons Division.
The shooting occurred on August 16 at a well-frequented spot called 'Club Chevron' on Cullen Boulevard, where people often gather overnight to drink and smoke. Officers arrived after reports of gunshots and found 26-year-old David Hurd on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds.
Hurd was pronounced dead at the hospital, and Young was also shot but treated for their injuries. Both suspects are now charged with felony possession of a weapon. The motive behind the shooting remains unclear, although witnesses reported an unidentified person firing shots and fleeing in a white SUV.
