UnitedHealth Appoints New CEO, President Amid Modernization Efforts

UnitedHealth Group has appointed Jodee Kozlak as its new CEO and Robert 'Bobby' Hunter as president of UnitedHealthcare's insurance business. Kozlak, who took on her new role on September 28, will oversee human resources, real estate, procurement, and corporate security for the company.

Kozlak previously held leadership positions at Target, including executive vice president and chief human resources officer from 2004 to 2015. She also served as global senior vice president at Alibaba Group from 2016 to 2017, helping lead its expansion outside China.

Hunter announced his appointment on September 28 and will focus on modernizing UnitedHealthcare's operations, including improving information exchange between health plans and providers and reducing administrative inefficiencies. He most recently served as CEO of UnitedHealthcare Government Programs, which includes Medicare and Medicaid businesses.
