US Stocks Close Lower Amid Sectors' Decline
The US stock market closed lower on Monday, led by losses in the Dow Jones Consumer Goods, Consumer Services, and Financials sectors.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.51%, while the S&P 500 index dropped 0.52% and the NASDAQ Composite lost 0.32%. Caterpillar Inc was the biggest gainer on the Dow, rising 2.93% to $881.69 per share.
The worst performers included Nike Inc, which fell 4.11% to a 5-year low of $39.06, and Eyepoint Pharmaceuticals Inc, which dropped 66.98% to a 52-week low of $4.87.
