US Stocks Soar as Tech Giants Nvidia and Salesforce Crush Earnings Expectations
US stocks rose across the board on Wednesday, led by software and cybersecurity stocks. The Nasdaq Composite Index gained 1.57% to close at 26,541.35 points.
Nvidia (NVDA) was a standout performer, rising 8.74% post-earnings to $227.98. The company's revenue for the second quarter of fiscal 2027 reached $96.22 billion, up 106% year-over-year and 18% quarter-over-quarter.
Salesforce (CRM) also beat expectations, with its total revenue for the second fiscal quarter reaching $11.35 billion, up 11% year-over-year. The company's adjusted earnings per share came in at $5.90, significantly beating Wall Street estimates.
The Philadelphia Semiconductor Index rose 2.33% to close at 11,882.17 points, with 25 of its 30 constituents advancing.
