Uzbekistan's Andijan Airport Welcomes First Boeing 777-300 Cargo Flight

Andijan International Airport in Uzbekistan received its first Boeing 777-300 cargo aircraft on September 21. The plane, operated by Challenge Air Cargo, arrived from Liège, Belgium and transported 150 breeding cattle weighing a total of 82.5 tonnes.

The unloading of the animals was carried out in compliance with established veterinary and biological safety requirements, and the airport's specialists worked closely with relevant services to ensure a smooth operation.

This is not the first large cargo aircraft to land at Andijan Airport this year. On August 4, a Boeing 747-400F operated by Challenge Air Cargo also arrived from Liège and delivered 160 head of breeding cattle weighing a total of 83.3 tonnes.

The airport's ability to receive modern wide-body aircraft is thanks to a major reconstruction of the airfield complex, completed in March this year. The runway, taxiways, apron, and aircraft parking stands were all upgraded as part of the project.
