Vista Investment Management recently disclosed to the SEC that it acquired a new stake in Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) worth approximately $2,776,000.

The fund purchased 9,593 shares of Apple's stock during the second quarter, which comprises about 0.8% of Vista Investment Management's investment portfolio, making it its 27th largest holding.

In addition to Vista Investment Management, several other large investors also made changes to their positions in Apple during the second quarter. Welch Capital Partners LLC NY bought a new position valued at $1,621,000, while Hudson Portfolio Management LLC boosted its position by 8.1% and Compass Financial Management LLC acquired a new position worth $25,894,000.

Institutional investors own about 67.73% of Apple's stock. In other news, SVP Jennifer Newstead sold 1,438 shares of the stock on September 15th at an average price of $330.19, resulting in a total value of $474,813.22.
