Windows 11 Speeds Up, Microsoft Confirms

Microsoft has confirmed that Windows 11 is getting faster and more responsive. Design and Research lead Marcus Ash sent an email to users stating that early testers are already feeling improvements in system responsiveness. The company showed off an 'instantaneous' File Explorer at a recent Windows Insider meetup, according to one tester.

The recent changes to Windows 11 have been focused on improving the overall user experience. This includes decluttering the context menu of File Explorer and allowing users to customize it by removing unwanted items. The company has also shipped movable taskbar and resizable Start menu features, but these may not be visible yet due to the gradual rollout.

Microsoft is committed to listening to feedback from its Insiders, with plans to share early design concepts and ideas for Windows 11. This will allow users to provide input on upcoming changes before they are implemented in Experimental builds. The company also aims to increase transparency around user suggestions, making it easier for Insiders to see what changes are being considered and worked on.

More improvements are planned for this fall, including further refinements to the Start menu and taskbar. Microsoft is working closely with its Insiders to gather feedback and shape the future of Windows 11.
