WinUI Missing 'Scroll Here' Shortcut, Leaves Users Scrolling the Hard Way

A missing scrollbar shortcut has been found in Windows 11's WinUI framework. The 'Scroll Here' function, which jumps directly to a specific spot on the scroll bar, is not available in modern Windows apps built with WinUI. This functionality was introduced in Windows 2000 and has since become a standard feature across various frameworks.

Microsoft veteran Raymond Chen recently discovered this limitation while researching how different applications handle scrollbar interactions. He found that Electron apps support the 'Scroll Here' function, but WinUI does not.

The issue is tracked on GitHub as a bug, where a user described it as 'inconsistent with other Windows apps.' The lack of consistency in scrollbar behavior has been identified as one of the many missing basics in WinUI. Microsoft has promised to address these issues and improve performance in its framework.
