AGOCO Reboots Majid Field Well After Nine-Year Hiatus

Libya's Arabian Gulf Oil Company (AGOCO) has successfully restored production at the Majid Field Well EE1HR-80, which had been shut down for over nine years. This achievement is part of the National Oil Corporation's (NOC) strategic plan and a testament to the national workforce's efforts.

The well was reactivated using directional drilling and re-entry techniques in collaboration with CAMCO and Baker Hughes. The operational efficiency and effectiveness of this approach have contributed significantly to boosting production rates and supporting the oil sector.

Production tests yielded an impressive 5,322 barrels of oil per day via natural flow, with a remarkable 0% water cut. This is a significant milestone for AGOCO and the NOC, highlighting their commitment to optimizing production and reducing associated costs.
