BAJUS Raises Gold Prices by Tk1,691 per Bhori to Tk2,34,621
The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) has increased gold prices again, raising the price of 22-carat gold by Tk1,691 per bhori to Tk2,34,621, including VAT.
This is the latest adjustment in a year that has seen gold prices adjusted 116 times so far. BAJUS announced the new prices in a notice today, citing an increase in the price of tejabi gold (pure gold) in the local market.
The association revised the prices considering the overall market situation and said they will remain effective at all jewellery shops until further notice. However, labour charges will apply depending on the design of the jewellery.
