Gold Prices Decline Slightly in Baghdad and Erbil Markets

Gold prices in Baghdad and Erbil markets declined on Sunday, according to a survey by Shafaq News Agency. In Baghdad's Al-Nahr Street market, the selling price of 21-carat gold was recorded at 983,000 IQD per mithqal (equivalent to five grams), while the buying price stood at 979,000 IQD. The same gold had sold for 985,000 IQD on Saturday.

The selling price for 21-carat Iraqi gold in Baghdad market was 953,000 IQD, with a corresponding buying price of 949,000 IQD. In jewelry stores, the selling price per mithqal of 21-carat Gulf gold ranged between 985,000 and 995,000 IQD, while Iraqi gold sold for between 955,000 and 965,000 IQD.

In Erbil, the prices were slightly higher: 22-carat gold was sold at 1,022,000 IQD per mithqal, 21-carat gold at 977,000 IQD, and 18-carat gold at 937,000 IQD. These figures reflect a slight decline from Saturday's prices.

The survey by Shafaq News Agency aimed to provide an overview of the current market trends in Baghdad and Erbil.
