Iran Completes South Pars Phase 11 Gas Project, Boosts Winter Energy Supplies
Iran has completed the development of South Pars Phase 11, reaching a production capacity of 1 billion cubic feet (28.3 million cubic metres) of natural gas per day. This milestone comes as Tehran works to strengthen domestic energy supplies amid regional tensions.
The project was completed using Iranian engineering expertise after foreign partners, including France's Total and China's CNPC, left the project following years of delays.
Iranian officials said the development is expected to help reduce domestic energy imbalances and improve gas supplies ahead of winter. The increased output could provide additional supplies for households, power plants, and industries.
