US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has claimed that Iran loaded zero crude oil onto tankers in September, citing the ongoing blockade of Iranian ports since April. The blockade is part of an effort to prevent Iranian oil exports, primarily destined for China.

The US claims this move will sever Tehran's economic lifeline and cut off a critical source of revenue for the regime.

Bessent stated that 'Operation Economic Outcast' is aimed at cutting off the resources used by Iran to finance its 'terrorist agenda.'
