Nigeria's Oil Production Surges as Oil Theft Drops by 79%
Nigeria's oil production has seen significant growth over the past three years, thanks in part to efforts to curb oil theft and provide a secure atmosphere for investment.
The country has been able to strengthen its production levels and reduce oil theft by 79% through the use of technology and deployment of personnel to monitor pipelines and other assets.
Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, led by Tompolo, has played a crucial role in this success story. The company employs advanced technology to provide real-time monitoring, rapid threat detection, and seamless communication.
In partnership with the Stakeholders Development Network and Ecosus Pro Nigeria Limited, Tantita launched the Tantita Sustainable Rice Farming Initiative to move communities involved in illegal oil activity into large-scale rice farming instead.
Nigeria's oil production has met its OPEC quota of 1.5 million barrels daily for a fourth straight month, and the country earns over 80% of its foreign exchange from crude oil export.
