Silver Price Crashes 1% as Global Markets See Volatility

The price of silver in India has continued to hover around ₹2.45 lakh/kg on September 16, despite volatility in global bullion markets influenced by crude oil prices, US Treasury yields, and the Federal Reserve interest rate decision.

Silver opened August at ₹2.35 lakh/kg and closed the month at ₹2.55 lakh/kg, registering an 8.51% rise, however, September saw a correction in price to ₹2.44 lakh/kg on September 16.

The latest US market benchmark before the meeting is that spot silver traded at $63.41 per troy ounce on September 15, while spot gold was trading at $4,293.29 per ounce.
