Binance Bitcoin Outflows Surge to Three-Year High as Whales Boost Stablecoin Inflows
Bitcoin (BTC) outflows from Binance reached their highest levels since mid-2023 in late September, according to new analysis. Over the seven days ending September 27, Binance experienced a net outflow of 23,137 BTC, marking the largest weekly outflow since June 2023 when 44,942 BTC were withdrawn in a single week. Analysts at CryptoQuant noted that such outflows often signal accumulation, as withdrawing BTC from an exchange typically indicates a long-term investment strategy.
Since September 20, Binance's Bitcoin reserves have dropped by nearly 40,000 BTC. CryptoQuant suggested that this accumulation, combined with a reduction in selling pressure, could be sufficient to push Bitcoin out of its current consolidation phase. Historically, similar outflows in June 2023 were followed by a price surge from $26,300 to $30,500, indicating a potential bullish trend.
Meanwhile, data shows that large-volume whale entities have increased their stablecoin inflows to Binance by 40% since mid-August. Stablecoin supply on exchanges is seen as 'dry powder' awaiting deployment into cryptoassets, suggesting growing interest in increasing capital exposure. The rolling 30-day stablecoin inflows rose from $21.7 billion to $30.5 billion, following a lull after the October 2025 peak when inflows exceeded $61 billion.
