Cardano ADA Price Plummets 68% in One Year Amid Uncertain 'Uptober' Outlook
Cardano (ADA) has had a difficult year, with its price plummeting by 68% over the past 12 months. According to data from CoinGecko, ADA's value fell from $0.954 in September 2025 to $0.138 in June 2026, causing it to lose its weekly MA 50 at $0.451.
However, since July, ADA has rebounded and is on track for its third straight month of gains if September closes positively. This uptrend is a welcome change for the cryptocurrency, which had been struggling to regain momentum after its sharp decline in June.
October is often viewed as a positive month for crypto assets, with some even calling it 'Uptober.' However, Cardano's history suggests that this may not be the case. Since 2018, ADA has only closed positively two out of eight times in October, and its performance has been mixed over the years.
To reverse its trend, buyers would need to take control again with stronger trading volume and a series of higher highs and higher lows. At the time of writing, ADA was down 3.22% in the last 24 hours to $0.247 as crypto bulls took a breather following a strong rally in the past week.
