Solana Co. chairman Joseph Chee says China will find a way to manage cryptocurrency despite years of strict regulations.

Chee made his remarks at Korea Blockchain Week, where he argued that interest in crypto has persisted in China even after Beijing banned trading and mining in 2017 and 2021.

The Solana Co. chairman suggested that management may become the more practical path for China, rather than prohibition, but emphasized that this process will take time.

Chee pointed to a pattern of Chinese investors, academics, and developers showing up for crypto events despite regulatory efforts, including a recent developer event in Shenzhen that drew police scrutiny due to overcrowding.
