Coinbase Stock Price Breaks Out of Range as Crypto Sector Shows Signs of Recovery

Share

The Coinbase stock price has been stuck in a tight range of $140 to $225 since the start of 2026, but recent developments have brought about a change in sentiment.

After reaching an all-time high of $444 in 2025, the stock fell and struggled to break through the $210-$225 resistance zone, remaining below its 200-day EMA.

Coinbase's infrastructure is closely tied to the broader crypto market, and as several altcoins have flipped above their 200-day EMA bands in Q3 2026, the Coinbase stock price has also recovered.

However, despite this improvement, the earnings history of Coinbase is a concern. Three consecutive negative earnings reports failed to push the stock higher, suggesting weak demand across the crypto sector may be the reason for this behavior.

The technical chart indicates that the COIN stock price needs to sustain above its 200-day EMA to strengthen the current recovery structure and break through the $210-$225 supply region.
