Remittix Tests Cross-Border Payments with 1,000 RTX Holders Ahead of Token Launch
Chainlink's role in connecting traditional finance to on-chain markets is an attractive infrastructure story. However, for those focused on payment-focused buyers, a new opportunity has emerged with Remittix and its PayFi app.
Remittix invited 1,000 existing RTX holders to test the experience of receiving money from abroad through PayFi. This is an important step towards making cross-border payments more accessible, especially if customers find it as easy as using a familiar finance app.
The World Bank estimated global remittances at $856 billion in 2024. A wallet that introduces customers to repeat transfers can build fee income one corridor at a time. Several busy routes would already represent meaningful volume; a much larger network could generate tens of millions in revenue.
Remittix says RTX serves settlement and staking roles within its network. A customer-facing app that handles repeated transfers could bring more people into those functions and attract investors seeking the token behind the growth. The project reports over 10,000 wallet downloads, providing a ready entry point for PayFi as testing expands.
LINK remains an institutional infrastructure play, but RTX gives buyers exposure to a younger customer-facing payments network at a point when its service is moving into holder hands. As Remittix plans its token launch on November 24 with a final presale tier of $0.46, the first test is a step toward a broader rollout.
