TRON's $TRX Faces Demand Test in October as Stablecoin Activity Surges
TRON's native token, $TRX, has been trading near $0.335 as of early October, despite the network hosting nearly $96 billion in stablecoins. This stark contrast highlights the distinction between the token's market value and the activity on its blockchain. While TRON plays a significant role in stablecoin transactions, with $2.1 trillion in $USDT transfers during the second quarter, this volume does not directly translate to demand for $TRX.
The launch of Canary Capital's staked $TRX ETF (TRXS) in September presented another potential demand driver, but its impact remains unclear. As of October 2, the fund had about $50.23 million in net assets and 2.03 million shares outstanding. However, the share count has barely changed since mid-September, suggesting limited new inflows despite the fund's availability.
Network activity and fee generation also play a crucial role in $TRX's price outlook. DeFiLlama reported roughly $770,000 in fees paid over a 24-hour period, but this figure varies widely depending on transaction volume and resource costs. Additionally, TRON's supply dynamics involve both token generation and burning, with an average annual growth rate of 0.31% as of early October 2026. The balance between these factors will influence the token's supply and, consequently, its price.
For October, the key question is whether increased network use and ETF demand will create measurable buying pressure on $TRX. While the fund's launch is notable, its actual impact on $TRX's price will depend on observable changes in share creation and underlying holdings. Without significant inflows or a surge in network activity, $TRX may continue to trade within its current narrow range.
