Bangladesh Airlines Boosts Fleet with 11 More Boeing Jets

Biman Bangladesh Airlines has ordered 11 more Boeing jets to expand its fleet. The national carrier will receive five 787-10 and six 737-8 airplanes, building on an earlier order for 14 Dreamliners and MAX planes.

The new purchase is part of Biman's ongoing fleet renewal and network expansion plan, which aims to strengthen the country's international connectivity. 'Our team's working relationship with Boeing over the years has given us confidence in the delivery and support arrangements,' said Mr. Rumee A Hossain, chairman of Biman Bangladesh Airlines.

The 787 Dreamliner and 737 MAX families deliver a 20-25% fuel efficiency improvement compared to their predecessors. The addition of these new planes will enable Biman to modernize its fleet and expand global connectivity.
