BRTC Opens Plastics Manufacturing Training Lab in Martinsburg

Blue Ridge Community and Technical College (BRTC) has opened a plastics manufacturing training lab at its Technology Center in Martinsburg, West Virginia. The facility will provide students with hands-on experience in manufacturing processes used throughout the plastics industry.

The new lab is the only one of its kind in West Virginia and was showcased during an Aug. 5 preview event. Representatives from major companies such as Procter & Gamble, Technimark, Logoplaste, Rubbermaid, Parker Plastics, and Southeastern Container attended the event.

College officials said that the programs were developed with industry input and can be customized to meet employer needs. Students can pursue skill sets, microcredentials, certificates, and an Associate of Applied Science degree in Plastics Engineering Technology.
