Coca-Cola Ditches Iconic Frozen Juice Concoctions Amid Consumer Shift
Coca-Cola has confirmed that it will be ending its presence in the frozen can category after 80 years, discontinuing Minute Maid frozen juice concentrates. This move is part of a larger trend of food companies streamlining their product lineups as consumer tastes continue to shift.
PepsiCo announced last year that it planned to reduce nearly 20% of its U.S. product offerings as part of an effort to focus on products with simpler ingredients and functional benefits. The company has not confirmed every individual product affected, but food outlets have reported that over 20 snacks could be impacted.
Several brands are also facing backlash from fans after discontinuing popular items. Blue Bell's Butter Crunch ice cream flavor is no longer available, while Cheese Pizza Cheetos Puffs and Lay's Sweet Potato Poppables are reportedly being phased out as well. These moves come amidst a broader trend of consumers turning away from classic snacks in favor of more modern options.
