Disney Announces Typhoon Lagoon Closure Throughout October

Walt Disney World Resort has announced that Typhoon Lagoon Water Park will be closed throughout October due to seasonal refurbishment. The park's closure affects guests visiting in October, who can instead head to Blizzard Beach Water Park.

The closure of Typhoon Lagoon means that all its attractions, including the wave pool and water rides, will be unavailable until it reopens. Disney has not yet announced a reopening date for Typhoon Lagoon, but guests planning their visits should note that Blizzard Beach remains an option.

In addition to the water park closures, Magic Kingdom is also experiencing some disruptions. The Walt Disney World Railroad and Carousel of Progress are closed for most of October, with the railroad scheduled to return on October 30. The carousel is expected to reopen in late spring 2027 as part of a refurbishment.
