Disney Consolidates Consumer Products Under New Leadership
Disney has announced significant changes to its consumer products division, with two key promotions that will see licensing and publishing businesses move under Disney Entertainment, Studios. Cathleen Taff is being promoted to President of Disney Entertainment, Studios and Consumer Products, while Lisa Baldzicki will take on the newly created role of Executive Vice President of Global Experience and Innovation.
Taff's promotion will allow her to oversee global licensing and publishing businesses, which were previously part of the Disney Consumer Products umbrella. This move aims to bring merchandise and licensing closer to those developing the IP behind it. Taff will report to Alan Bergman, Chairman of Disney Entertainment, Studios.
Baldzicki's new role will see her lead a team that identifies emerging trends and opportunities across the Disney Experiences global portfolio. She will remain head of the Disney Parks domestic and global merchandise businesses, as well as the retail businesses, including Disney Store locations worldwide and DisneyStore.com. Baldzicki will report to Thomas Mazloum, Chairman of Disney Experiences.
