Disney Drops Trailer for 'Coven Academy' Ahead of Oct. 1 Streaming Launch

The Walt Disney Company has released the trailer for its upcoming supernatural series 'Coven Academy', an original teen drama from Tim Federle. The show premieres on October 1st on Freeform, with the full season available on Disney+, Hulu, and Freeform On Demand the next day.

Set in New Orleans, 'Coven Academy' follows three teenage witches and their warlock peers at an elite magic boarding school where power is currency, secrets are lethal, and attraction is a liability. The story revolves around Briar (Malina Weissman), a fiercely independent New Yorker who discovers she's a witch, and her turbulent love triangle with Jake (Malachi Barton) and Ollie (Louis Thresher).

The series also stars Jordan Leftwich as Sasha, a deeply empathic student who can read minds; Ora Duplass as Tegan, an irreverent time-bending witch; and Tiffani Thiessen as Miss Graves, the formidable head of the school. Special guest star Devon Sawa plays Mr. Cole, a brilliant warlock professor.
