FTAI Aviation Expands Fleet with Acquisition of 27 Boeing Aircraft from WestJet

FTAI Aviation Ltd. has acquired 27 Boeing 737-700 aircraft from WestJet, in a deal that marks the expansion of their relationship between the two companies.

The transaction consists of two components: FTAI's 2026 SPV acquiring 17 Boeing 737-700 aircraft on lease to WestJet through a sale-leaseback arrangement, and FTAI separately acquiring 10 off-lease Boeing 737-700 aircraft for its Aerospace Products business.

This acquisition is part of FTAI's Strategic Capital business, which has established an investment vehicle, the 2026 SPV, specifically to acquire on-lease, mid-life 737NG and A320ceo aircraft. This follows a similar initiative in 2025, where $2.0 billion of equity commitments were raised and approximately $6.0 billion of total capital was committed across more than 300 aircraft.

The off-lease aircraft will increase FTAI's supply of CFM56-7B engines and modules available to its Maintenance, Repair and Exchange customers, providing a comprehensive fleet solution for airlines.
