Google has expanded its AI-powered inbox features to users worldwide, but there's still a catch. The feature, first introduced in May this year for US-based users with a Google AI subscription, allows users to ask natural language questions and get answers without manually digging through their emails.

The feature requires users to pay for a Google AI subscription or have a Workspace account. It was previously only available to users with the highest-tier paying plans, but now more folks can use it.

The ability to search through AI Overviews in Gmail is now available globally, except for users in the European Economic Area (EEA), Japan, Switzerland, and the UK. Users must have a Google AI Plus, Pro, or Ultra subscription and be using Gmail in English.
