Microsoft Fixes Mixed Reality Link Limitation with Latest Update

Microsoft has released an update to Mixed Reality Link that addresses one of its strangest limitations. The app allows users to connect up to three virtual monitors on a supported headset to their PC, extending their computing experience.

The latest update, version 26.9105.9070.0, adds support for using the headset's microphone and sharing its camera with Windows applications. This means that users can finally use their headset's built-in microphone without having to hook up an external one to their PC.

Mixed Reality Link was initially released as a way to integrate mixed reality headsets with Windows 11 PCs. The update is the latest in a series of improvements to the app, which has been available on Windows 365 Cloud PC and supports Windows on Arm.
