Microsoft Overhauls Copilot with Code Generation and Agentic AI

Microsoft has revamped its Copilot app to make it more useful for office workers. The company has added several new features, including code generation and an agentic AI tool called Autopilot.

The Windows maker is racing to expand Copilot beyond its chat-based roots as it competes with other AI chatbots like ChatGPT and Claude.

One of the key features in the revamped app is a coding tool called 'Code' that allows users to build apps, dashboards, and other software using natural language prompts.

The tool will roll out to early-access customers at the end of the month, while 365 Premium and Pro subscribers can preview it later this year.
