Ryobi Tools Prove to be Surprisingly Durable and Effective
A mechanical engineer with over 12 years of experience in the HVAC industry has shared their positive experience with Ryobi tools, specifically three products that have outperformed expectations.
The author, Jonathon Jachura, initially shopped for Ryobi's bargain tools at Home Depot but eventually built his garage around the ONE+ platform. He was surprised to find that these cheaper tools refused to wear out and performed better than expected.
Three of his Ryobi tools, including a drill, compressor, and inverter, have handled various tasks with ease. The author notes that while Milwaukee offers sharper versions of these tools, they come at a much higher price point, which he doesn't see as justified for his usage patterns.
The ONE+ HP brushless drill/driver has been particularly impressive, lasting years without bogging down and performing better than the comparable Milwaukee M18 FUEL drill. The Ryobi 1-gallon portable air compressor has also exceeded expectations, meeting the author's needs without breaking the bank or requiring excessive storage space.
The inverter, model RYi150BG, is a cost-effective solution for providing a 120V outlet and USB ports, allowing the author to work away from a wall plug. Milwaukee does not offer a comparable product at this price point, making Ryobi a more practical choice for homeowners like the author.
